Here are some questions taken from an army German book (public domain). After you help me with these answers, I will install them as http://www.disknet.com/indiana_biolab/ger401.htm That page already exists. You can help me improve it. Thanks. This page is intended for students who have never before studied any German. It is the first lesson in the first Army book. Since internet students may have no teacher, I seek to make the lessons self-standing and have added the "L = literal word or word translation" to aid such beginners. T = direct from the book and therefore correct. ? = my translations and you may have a better translation.

T Wie viele Geschwister hat Fritz Schmidt? L how many brothers has Fred Smith T Fritz hat zwei Brüder.

T Wie alt ist er? L how old is he ? Fritz ist zwölf Jahre alt.

T Was ist der Vater? L What is the father T Der Vater ist Buchhändler. T The father is a bookseller.

T Wer ist Wilhelm? L Who is William T Wilhelm ist der große Bruder.
