We welcome texts or pages from anyone provided the pages help others learn German.
We particularly need German texts and phrases because we want thousands of phrases, sentences, pictures, and word lists to help beginners to learn German and intermediate students improve their German. We welcome texts which overlap material already on this site because we want an abundance of simple German so that beginners become at ease and skilled in reading German.
Authors should read the Information page for first time visitor as it explains, NGA, NEA, ???, and other symbols and aspects of this site.
We welcome specialized pages. Those include but are not limited to cooking, hobbies, auto, computers, chemistry, biology, teaching, games for kids and others, short stories or diaries by kids, accounts of trips in any country, descriptions or info about your town or community, descriptions of social life and organizations in your community, etc. Any family-rated texts are accepted.
We welcome and aid collaborations between authors. A third of our members are native German speakers who joined GermanList mainly to help others learn German, feel free to contact anyone for help in writing texts for pages this German site.
We also welcome texts you collected from books or magazines, but you should credit the source in brief words: --Der Spiegel, --Das Beste, --Goethe, etc. We hope you can include translation, but we are going to list some texts without translations hoping someone will supply the translation.
We welcome lists and glossary items such as lists of occupations, diseases, animals, plants, items used in home, items used in occupations, weather terms, etc. We hope you can provide the English and German names, but use ... for any word you do not know and someone may be able to supply the word.
We especially would like lists of homepages of all types. Give the complete URL and a brief note of its content. We will have separate lists of German and English home pages and note pages in more than one language. M
