Here are some references which no Eddleman has studied. Print this page and take it with you on your next trip to any library that may have one or more of the volumes. If you have seen the reference, send an e-mail stating what the reference contains.

1. Lafferty, Maude Wade, "Destruction of Ruddles and Martins Forts in the Revolutionary War". Register of Ky Historical Society, Vol 54, (Oct 1956) pp 297-338. Is David Eddleman there?

2. "To invade the Frontiers of KY?", the Indian Diplomacy of Philippe de Rocheblave, Britains Acting Commadant at Kaskaskia 1776-1778. Filson Club History Quarterly, vol 64 (april 1990) pp 205-246.

3. Arthur, Western North Carolina History 1730-1913, pub 1914

4. Asche, Samuel, Biographical History North Carolina - Colonial times to present, 8 vol pub. 1907-1917.

5. The Odenwald is one area of Germany having Edelmann. While these citations are 100 years after our Edelmann came to America, these could be interesting. Both from The Palatine Immigrant: Vol 9 #4 "From Odenwald to Baltimore 1831". Vol 13 #2 "Letters from Odenwald Emigrants 1820-1833."

6. Filson, his history of KY, pub 1784, 33 pages of 118 are on Daniel Boone. HLE: "I think I have looked thru this book but found no Eddleman or Burger. Not sure I have seen the book, but I have a photocopy of the map which shows the Kentucky Stations of 1784."
