Dear Doctor:
Subsequent to our telephone conversation in late March, I have looked for, but have been unable to find the genealogy that my father had. It will turn up someday and I will forward you a coy if you still have an interest.
Mrs. Edna Waynick, my cousin in Indianapolis, may have information of benefit to you. She may be addressed in care of R. R. Kannally, 3635 East 46th Street, Indianapolis IN 46205, and her telephone number is 317-547-9353.
Another first cousin here in Louisville, Mrs. Kristin Hansen, has an old family Bible which originally belonged to John Eddleman who we have reason to believe was an uncle to my grandfather, Adam Monroe Eddleman. According to the Bible, John was born February 12, 1803, and died July 28, 1876. My grandfather, Adam Monroe, was born Februrary 12, 1803, and died July 28, 1876. My grandfather, Adam Monroe, was born February 9, 1844, and died May 30, 1919. On September 29, 1870, he married Sarah Jane Baylor, my grandmother, who was born December 4, 1850, and died in 1935. There were five childern of the marriage, including my father who was born November 30, 1885, and died October 27, 1972. Other childern were Cloe, born July 18, 1882 and died May 11, 1966. She married Hugh Trinkle and her daughter is my cousin, Hazel Hansen. Other siblings were Edgar D., born July 11, 1877 and died May 26, 1911; Charlie L., born May 10, 1874 and died November 8, 1911 and Nora A., who was born Novemer 19, 1871 and died April of 1918. She married Lyman Jones.Incidentally, Mrs. Edna Waynick is the daughter of Charlie who married Nettie Byrd.
I am sorry I have no further reliable information that I can give you at this time. Incidentally, I would be interested in hearing what you have found out.
Yours very truly,
Claude S. Eddleman, Jr.
