Biography written during 1999 by his great grandson Harold Lee Eddleman
Jim Eddleman, as he was always known, was born at the family farm north of present-day Georgetown, Indiana 1813 May 26. This was two years after the family had come to Indiana Territory from Kentucky and 3 years before Indiana became a state.
His proven lineage is James Eddleman <== John Eddleman (miller of Georgetown IN, KY, NC) <== Catherine Eddleman (Her husband may have been David of PA, MD, and NC). See page 800 for his most likely lineage to Alsace Germany.
John Eddleman was born in North Carolina about ____ shortly before the family moved to Ky, probably in 1778 at the end of a two year's journey from NC. That time was deterimined by events on the front of New River area. We do not know the families whereabout, put this on John or David page.
See eg817 for the boyhood days. Not yet written because I can't find much.
