John Eddleman, Jr

Biography written during 1999 by Harold Lee Eddleman

John Eddleman was probably born about 1803 in Kentucky before the family moved about 1811 to a farm north of present-day Georgetown, Indiana. before Indiana became a state.

His proven lineage is John Eddleman, Jr.<== John Eddleman (miller of Georgetown IN, KY, NC) <== Catherine Eddleman (Her husband may have been David of PA, MD, and NC). See page 800 for his most likely lineage to Alsace Germany.

His Father was John Eddleman of NC, KY, and IN

John Eddleman was born in North Carolina about ____ shortly before the family moved to Ky, probably in 1778 at the end of a two year's journey from NC. That time was deterimined by events on the front of New River area. We do not know the families whereabout, put this on John or David page.

Growing up at his Dad's Farm and Mill

  • John farmed and made Furniture.

    He owned a farm just north of his dad's farmand mill. After the death of his father, it is likely that he tock care of his mother and her small farm. Claude Eddleman said John Jr. was crippled and he ws best know for making furniture. Kristen ____ of Louisville has a bed and night stand which he made.
