Eddleman Cemetary on above farm

I have been there a few times approx 1980, 1985,1991 last time trees had grown and lettering was badly etched away. I drew the map below at 7 pm on July 6 (year not given) so the line of graves is South to North. In the drawing of the plot I called the north grave #A. FS = xx ; xx is the inscription on the footstone.

A. George son of J. & M. Eddleman Born April 11, 1822. FS = GE. Not certain of the date.

B. Mary Daughter of J. & M Eddleman died June 15, 1812 Aged 2 yrs 6 M 18 days FS= ME

C. David son of J. & M. Eddleman Died Sept 18, 1829 Aged 25 Yrs 2 Mos 11 d FS= DE

D.Westley son of J. & M. Eddleman Died Oct 15, 1832 Aged 30 years FS= WE

E. ASA son of J & M Eddleman Died Oct 15, 1834 Aged 30 Yrs & 5 Months FS= AE

F. is a fragment lying on the ground 8 feet south of grave #E. The fragment reads Aged 6?6? Yrs 6mos 12 day.

Most of the letters were quite easy to read and I believe no errors except as noted. Next time I was there names were badly weathered away. I think Glenn Ray Eddleman was with me the day I copied the inscriptions. Perhaps it was 1978.

The headstones A to E are spaced 4 feet apart. There is a huge groundhog mound south of Grave E and covering E somewhat. The fragment F might be part of a stone for John Eddleman who buiilt the mills. I may work on clearing brush away from these graves unless experts tell me marble will last longer in the shade. ?The inscription dates suggest #C and #E were twins born 2 months apart?

I do not know the date of death of John Eddleman (mill builder). If that fragment that reads 66 (?) years and 6 months was his gravestone and the Estate was in Court soon after his death, then John Eddleman was born in early 1774. In the Census of ----- he said he was born in North Carolina.

To be continued.
