Seat Heaters

This system originally (as everything else I have) started as a light-budget stereo.  I find myself always unhappy w/ some component, and ready to upgrade.  Two common elements that I want w/ my system are:  1) It must be practical and cannot intrude w/ the functionality of my 4Runner - no need for enormous boxes that take all the cargo space- and 2) It must be "Stealthy" - I don't want to advertise that I have a dollar or two tied up with my stereo system.      Can you tell what's in here?   NO???   How about now?

Stereo:  Sony ES XRC9100 Headunit w/ wired remote in cargo area
               Sony ES XDP766  Digital DSP/EQ
Sony ES  T65 6disc changer under the driver's seat
               Rockford Fosgate 800a4 Punch amplifier (4x100@4ohm, 4x200@2ohm)
(The JBL amp was great, but at highway speeds w/ the windows down, it ran out of
breath too quickly.  This RF amp is a MONSTER !!)
Rockford Fosgate Fanatic  6.75" woofers w/  Polk DX tweeters back mounted in stock trim
(The JBL speakers were great too, but easily overpowered by the big RF amp.  I'm not
overly impressed so far w/ these RF speakers - they are the RF "economy" model.
The woofers have bass response similar to the JBL's, but the tweeter's are so-so
The crossovers are small and tuck nicely in the factory plastic adapter.)
UPDATE: the RF tweeters and Xover blew out anyway.
Polk DX 6.5" component speakers in rear w/ tweeters mounted high on C-pillar
(These speakers are SWEET...very good bass response, and that enormous blue silk
tweeter is so smooth.  I can feed these things ear-bleeding levels of power and they
just vibe along...Since the factory speakers are 4.5", it took a bit of brute force w/ the
door panels, and some custom brackets to fit the openings)
               Sony ES XM5026 2ch amplifier (1x220@2ohm bridged)
JL Audio Stealth Custom Subwoofer enclosure w/ JL Audio 10w0 subwoofer
Rockford Fosgate 10" HX2 DVC Subwoofer in QLogic enclosure
(I still craved a little more thump and the single JL was not enough, so I added the RF
so it can be easily removed when space is needed.  Can you say "cone excursion"??
This thing has more butyl surround area than actual cone area....WOOF WOOF)

(REMOVED) RF front tweeters and crossovers
Couldn't handle the power from the RF amp and died.  They were crappy anyway...
            (REMOVED) JBL Power 4040 4ch amplifier (4x40w@4ohm)
(REMOVED) Custom amp enclosure mounted on rear seatback
(REMOVED) JBL P6.2c 6.5" component speakers front and rear
Front tweeters mounted in stock locations
Rear tweeters mounted high on C-pillar
Rear speakers mounted in custom door adapters
(REMOVED) JBL GT10 10" Tube Subwoofer    (too much room, too boomy, not enough thump)

Wood Trim:    AAA Exotic Wood Co Medium Burlwood
Excellent quality, easy to install w/ heatgun, and matches the factory LTD plastic wood
perfectly.  I got it off eBay for about $120, and AAA is awesome to deal with.
Protection:     Husky Liners front and Cargo area
                        Westin Pet Barrier
Catchall carpet liners rear seat area

(NEW)  Check Corporation Seat Heater Kit
Fits like factory, is kind of a pain to install though.  Takes about 3 min to get hot, and I mean HOT!
